February: Monday 10th 6:30 pm Meeting. Doors open 6pm
Guest Speaker Phillip Rhodes – Millner for the Australian Opera,
MTC and more. Theme ‘..the endless quest for materials and what
will I make it out of....’ Bring arrangements to inspire hat decoration.

March: Tuesday 10th 10:30 am Meeting. Doors open 9:30am
Birthday meeting and Japanese Day. Theme: The Kimono.
Bring arrangements using traditional Kimono motifs.

March: 25-29 Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show

April: Saturday 18th 2pm Meeting & Workshop. Doors open 1pm
Celebrating autumn. Theme to be announced. Bring own materials.

May: Tuesday 12th 10:30 am Meeting. Doors open 9:30am
Guest speaker ‘Mr Fresh’ Florist wholesaler – Preservation and
importing of unusual Japanese and other floristry material.
Bring arrangements inspired by ‘the unusual’.

June: Saturday 13th 2pm Meeting. Doors open 1pm
Guest Speaker Ema Shin Melbourne based Japanese born artist Ema’s art includes woodblock printing, tapestry and
needlework. Bring arrangements of contemporary ikebana.

July: Tuesday 14th 10:30 am Meeting Doors open 9:30am.
Workshop using winter branches. Leader TBA

August: Tuesday 11th 10:30 am Meeting. Doors open 9:30am AGM
and Commemoration of 75 Years of Hiroshima Peace Day.
All Schools demonstration. Bring arrangements reflecting this day.

September: Tuesday 8th Visit Cranbourne Gardens 10:30am.
Ballarto Road cr Botanic Drive (off South Gippsland Fwy Cranbourne
Melway Ref 133K10). A guided visit around these internationally
acclaimed architect-landscaped botanical gardens which showcase
the diversity of Australian and its flora.
Lunch available at the ‘Boon Wurrung’ Café. Suggest car-pool drive.

October: Saturday 10th 2pm Meeting & Workshop. Doors open 1pm.
Workshop to be run by Yuko Asano Senior Teacher Wafu School.

November: Tuesday 10th 10:30 am Meeting. Doors open 9:30am.
‘Life as a foreigner in Japan’
Members will share their ‘memories, mistakes and mishaps’.
Bring arrangements celebrating Japan.
And for our charity – a child’s gift or donation for ‘Çottage by the Sea’
